Welcome to the Academy for Environmental Leadership!

AEL was formed as part of the New Century High School Initiative, an initiative that is aimed at reforming large urban traditional high schools into smaller learning environments where students can receive more individualized attention. The proposal for AEL was developed by a team of educators, parents/guardians, consultants and the Brooklyn Center of the Urban Environment, our lead partner.
